Insignificant players that somehow made a significant contribution to West Ham United

David Speedie. We may not have been promoted in 1993 without him.

Perhaps I should have called the thread 'Significant stalkers that make people want to join KUMB'

You're still here, so that should be insignificant.

If anyone, Manny Omoyinmi springs to mind.
Although as Johnson says, by doing something significant, a player does make themselves somewhat less insignificant, but i do get the gist of what you're trying to say.

Yes exactly. David Speedie for example isn't the most renowned West Ham player and I would guess for the most part, totally forgotten, but he played a major part in getting us up.
I'll leave the thought process of that logic to my in-house stalker.

Charlie Paynter, John Lyall
Both badly injured before they could be significant players

If we'd have had a different loan player instead of Speedie, we probably would have got about 5 points more.
Bloke missed a bucket load of sitters, especially against Millwall the jock cunt.

Agree that the question is somewhat daft, but surely any answer should include Alan Taylor. Ordinary really. Two OK seasons. Would get nowhere in a Favourite WHU players poll.
But three braces in the Cup one season and look what happened.

That absolute fucker Robbie Keane.
He could not have been more insignificant but if he hadn't of missed at least three absolute sitters then we would probably have avoided relegation (which is pretty significant)!
